The company was formerly known as Internap Network Services Corporation and changed its name to Internap Corporation in November 2014. Internap Corporation was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Reston, Virginia. On March 16, 2020, Internap Corporation, filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. It is in joint administration with Internap Technology Solutions Inc.
